"hortatory subjunctive" is the latest excuse. Again, I believe I saw this coming and had touched on a similar issue just recently.[A & B] The above link seems rather authoritative but a more definitive explanation is even less an excuse. But it may be in the ballpark but still an out if you look at the "deliberative subjunctive".[The definition just above "hortatory subjunctive".] The similar field I hit from may be strike one and two. OK, I am carrying a baseball field metaphor a little too far and I am not the only one swinging and missing.

But "Give 'em a break" [A] is in the area of a conditional reference in a similar manner that is not necessarily suggestive. "all we need is some attacks on American soil like we had on [Sept. 11, 2001 ], and the naysayers will come around"

But "failure is not an option" [B] is a declarative grammatical oxymoron. Still I am only doing this off the top of my head, and may just now have gotten a little closer to the field than simply a "true oxymoron" [as I had noted.]

Oh well, the point is that there seems building evidence that they [the adminstration] have couched every action and intention in confusion, even when they are at their clearest. This could be just a result of creative CTR,(covering their rear), but I am talking about their preemptive confusion and grammar.

Note that the two previous examples are not just about me or them, but some of us on the critical side [can] get lost in the rhetoric too, while sometimes their grammar is more reliable or at least carefully calculated. [The truth leaks.]

A play on words similar to a "fair assumption"?
But I allude to articles of "attack" or "dreams" and an alternative to "collision" that may be baseless.

In one fell swoop I have ruffled a few feathers or reversed the spin. Key words in new context can flip-flop a lot but there is a big difference between a change, of course, and progress. Just look what two words and two commas do. Let alone will. Not to mention the differences between u and I and making it us. The difference really does hinge on "you" and what we read or read into life.

Keith Olberman brought this to light. My original concern was that Beck was so loose in his grammar or rhetoric that some misinterpretation was almost inescapable(indeed prophetic and not for profit).

It turns out he was even loose with his script. As I transcribed the video from Countdown:

I never really did follow up on viewing or reading the bottom link at my Off The Cliff post, but used it as an allegorical leap. But here is a good point someone found regarding the Buffet comment.
From which I snip the point:

My point was the economics of the War on Terror where I said:

The honesty of the new budget and accounting now includes the war on terror which was not on the books. I have not seen where this is said, but it should and probably has been or will be.

Now the bottom line is what is pre-emptive.And should be a uniter not a divider.

I'm not a lawyer but...

my post on Lt. Watada's "Unbecoming" Mistrial seems to have gotten to a point that others seem to run around. [Breaking Related News * ]

Here is the crux of the matter:
"...the military judge, said the case could end in a mistrial if Watada’s lawyers refused to let the defendant answer the judge’s questions about potential inconsistencies with a "stipulation of fact" that Watada agreed to before the trial began. "

"The defense has consistently tried to call into question the legality of the war, because Watada said the war is illegal and a command to fight in Iraq is also illegal. But the judge has said the argument over the legality of the war is not a matter that can be settled in military court." *

Note that a crux must have two lines. It seems that the case cannot proceed under the "stipulation of fact" that the prosecution prepared and the defendant agreed to, yet the judge felt had inconsistencies that he expected the defendant to clear up and was not for the court to decide.

Later reports seem to confirm this thinking even without necessarily getting to that point so easily. That's what I am here for, even if an occasional misspelling or misthinking is occasionally caught. At least it is not as bad as the misjudgement that brought us here. Not that there will not be calls to stay the course.

By the way, is that not another error or actually what we should be doing? I may not be much for grammar and neither is "The Decider", but what we seem to have here is a missing preposition. We have never been on a course but it must be stayed. It may be a "Catch 22" or the "8th Wonder" but there is often a missing link and sometimes you have to follow them.

My theory is that not only the trickle down did not work(for jobs), but it would have been worse if they had not continued to deficit spend, let alone not had wars. Use of Labels

This is just a note that labels are not always useful.

However, LABELS as they are used below, may be helpful. The previous post includes the addition of the "label" ESCALATION but could be used for almost anything the administration does. At this time it places a focus on world powers and how they get along. The Geometry of Purpose? label refers basically to a structure of how to get things done. For example; focusing on one's own intentions from the grass roots up, not trickle down. Hence the Power Broker Mountain Project. This post is to explain some of the workings of this writer.

Trivium, for example represent the basic medieval course work at universities: grammar, logic and rhetoric. You can see where I am coming from and where we are going. Quadrivium is the upper division of the liberal arts composed of; arithmetic, geometry, astronomy and music.

What's New?

I may have read enough and hope to get back to more substance later but there is enough psychology embedded in this blog to blow ones mind. (Not to mention the spelling, grammar and punctuation.) (Mine that is.)

What will change? Is McCain running from or running with the likes of Charlie Black as his top advisor? Will he hold him accountable or will he expect change from someone so tied to Reagan and earlier Bush campaigns and administrations? Is this nuance or insanity? Not that logic is the only card, but does it even make sense?

If there is a terrorist attack, how could it be good for a campaign which is trying to argue that the war on terrorism works because we have had no terrorist attacks? Not that it would be convenient for a terrorist attack to be blamed on current policy.

Meanwhile I hope to limit my filtering here, to do a better job filtering everywhere.

Recent Ex-Changes

Recent exchanges have been about different thinking and feeling and how we deal with each other. It was interesting to see that some feel that Barack Obama is all (too much)about inspiration, yet others feel he lacks some evidence of feeling. Maybe it is just in the reporting, but Hillary was accused and fell flat on such accusations and her own seeming over reliance or manipulation of feelings. And then we have McCain. I won't go there. Maybe the media will, and so might McCain.
